Bio
Using one word to describe B.F.R. is easy: “unconventional.” The innovative repertoire, instrumentation, arrangements, and stage presentation are all unique. In the spirit of Johann Sebastian Bach, Thomas Dorsey, Sam Cooke, and Andrae Crouch, this band will challenge conventions while preserving the pure Gospel message. Here, musical instruments from around the world answer the Psalms’ call, “Let everything that has breath Praise the Lord!”
Following the Apostle Paul’s lead, this group is becoming all things to all men so that they may save some. Their freshman CD, “Some West Coast Praise,” was released earlier and employed a variety of musical styles to create a work palatable to a wide range of tastes. Rather than reinforcing walls, B.F.R. seeks to remove barriers.
The Bible Faith Remnant never disappoints when ministering live, either. The versatile, seasoned singers, along with accomplished musicians, delight audiences across nearly every demographic.
Consequently, the band participated in the Ethnic Dance Festival. B.F.R. was the first Christian group to play at this prestigious festival in its 32-year history. In stepping onto these diverse stages—whether ministering at the Japantown Cherry Blossom Festival in San Francisco or blending Gospel harmonies with artistic voices of other cultures—B.F.R. extends a Kingdom-minded invitation: What new vision of worship is possible with the timeless message of Christ? These moments are about more than music; they represent a wider cultural exchange, transcending boundaries and uniting people through the shared joy of worship.
The word “unconventional” comes to mind again. This is proving to be an exhilarating year for B.F.R. With the upcoming self-titled project, B.F.R. is coming into full bloom. The band is receiving exposure from a spectrum of new venues, and only God knows how far things will develop for the Bible Faith Remnant!
